On the comments today of an earlier blog I was posed that question. I answered the following -

I would love to read your thoughts on this matter. From the previous blog a couple of people did not even include Thierry, each to their own I guess but as I said I look forward to reading further opinions

The strikers are alternative. E.g. Adebayor and Henry at bolton or RvP and Henry at Man Ure.
Kolo would be the worlds greatest right back, he cant head so put Djourou or Sen-Doh! next to Gallas.

For me, RvP and Walcott are impact players to be used as subs.
Ade is a good option for a 4-5-1 when we are up against a tough team.
Denilson and Diaby are good rotaional players for the midfield to keep Bert and Cesc fresh.

Funniest team Fumbling Jim Furnell, Irish international full backs Mcgill and Mc,cullough Scottish giant centrebacks Ure and Young skirton, hillier mcgoldrick marinello in the middle Chapman and Caeser up front. does anyone believe rosicky and hleb need to score alot more than they do although great technical players .. not having the likes of pires and ljungberg who got around 15 goals a season sometimes more without them goals were really lacking and we need them at the amount of times we go behind more goalscoring midfielders please.

I watched Baptista at Sevilla and he bangs in goals. He and Rosicky can bring a directness to Arsenal and in time Walcott will as well. Hleb and Eboue were great on the right last year, both can pass and have goals in them. Gilberto makes us tough to beat. Gallas is awesome, fast and doesn’t panic like Senderos. Djourou and RVP were very close to making this team. Adebayor works hard but has a really poor shot for a striker. He needs to develop other ways of scoring.
I think this team would be awesome, especially in Europe. (Mike and Andrew clearly understand football)

Just wanted to add that it is great to see Diaby back. Physically he is awesome, has great potential and is already more effective in the middle than flamini. At some point a midfield three of [Diaby Fabregas Denilson] could be frightening.

I will sell Adebayor at the drop of the hat. I am still not convince by his performances, He must be the WORSE technical player AW has ever bought. Can’t control the ball EVER, (look at the videos of his ‘assists’ bloody fluke touches) He slows down the play way too much, There were so many times runners went pass him, but he held the ball and played it backwards. (no, not just middlesborough and sp*rs, download the videos and watch!) He is just a headless chicken running around. I’m sure we can find headless chicken with a bit more technical ability. Even the goal he scored against Sp*ds (some blogs insist he ‘aimed’ for the corner, look at the replay, the ball bobbled before he touched it which luckily for him, it went in.) Did anyone see Flamini shouted at adebayor over his ‘pass’ during the boro game? Ade had the cheek and said ‘ ME?’? Yes you, you shit, you can’t pass!. I thought ray parlour was bad, but Ade takes the cake. Yes thanks for the goals against man u, but luck does run out, skills and class doesn’t.
I agree with Jordan on V.Persie, he’s better on the right (just look at his Holland performances).

Adebayour adds something we haven’t seen up front for a long time; enthusiam, persistance and physical presence. (We have scored two goals against Spurs and Middlesboro by him being able to climb and nod the ball onto Rosicky and Henry)He is also very fast and much better on the ball than some of you are saying. I agree however that his shooting is poor for a stiker. Just as Henry is showing sustained tendancy to have to pace himself (he is now 29) he needs someone to do some of his leg work.
Also Eboue was a winger at one time. When he takes on defenders he is very impressive.I’d be tempted to play him wide right instead of Hleb (or as a sub for him) and keep Hoyte as a steadier right back.

This is a champs league away formation of 4-4-1-1. it gives us Hoyte’s defending/tackling mixed with Eboue’s runs down the left. Rosicky can cut inside with Djourou’s pace allowing him to cover Rosicky’s forward runs. Galls and Toure gives us pace in middle at the back. Hleb ca hold ball up and play in Henry, Cesc and Rosicky.
The bench is strong too, something that we have lacked. It has impact players. Djourou can always drop back if a central defender is injured, likewise Eboue can cover if Hoyte is hurt. RvP and Denilson can cover the wide positions, or Hleb can go wide right to cover and we have two
strikers on bench too.

anybody who rates senderos ahead of djouru knows f*** all about football. much as we’d all like to see big phil succeed at the emirates the facts are that he is not as good on the ball as his swiss team-mate and is beginning (??) to panic every time a ball comes near him. if our beloved capt don’t pull out his finger on a consistant basis he will on his bike and of that i have no doubt- arsene has already shown this season that he is tiring of his attitude and le boss can be ruthless when he decides to move a player on.
